HPLC Column, NP Amino, 3um, 2.1mm ID x 100mm Length, 100A. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.

Additional Information:

Cogent NP Amino™ is a normal-phase and HILIC stationary phase designed for the retention and separation of highly polar compounds. Manufactured using a three-carbon propyl ligand with a terminal amino functional group bonded to high-purity silica, this stationary phase provides selectivity that is particularly useful for carbohydrates, organic acids, and other polar analytes. As a USP L8 equivalent phase, it is widely used as an alternative in established USP methods and for new method development involving Normal Phase and HILIC chromatography.

68340-10P-2 is an HPLC column packed with 3 µm NP Amino™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 2.1 mm ID x 100 mm format. This narrow-bore configuration combines enhanced chromatographic resolution with reduced solvent consumption and excellent compatibility with LC-MS instrumentation. The 100 mm length provides greater resolving power than shorter 50 mm columns while maintaining practical analysis times. The 3 µm particles provide greater efficiency and sharper peaks than comparable 5 µm columns. Typical operating flow rates are approximately 0.2–0.3 mL/min. Because of the low flow rates required by 2.1 mm ID columns, standard HPLC systems must be capable of precise and reproducible low-flow operation.

This column is particularly useful for the analysis of sugars, carbohydrates, compounds containing carboxylic acid groups, and other polar molecules. Suitable for both Normal Phase and HILIC chromatography, the amino functionality provides retention characteristics that make it valuable for analytes that are poorly retained on conventional reversed-phase columns. The 2.1 mm ID format is a popular choice for LC-MS workflows requiring reduced solvent consumption and improved sensitivity. As an unmodified silica bonded amino phase, this column is also suitable for HILIC applications.
